[The show opens with the IWA logo on a black screen. The IWA promo then begins rolling. We see all of the IWA’s top talent. Primetime, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, the Ant, Owen Hart, and others. Once the package finishes, we’re taken inside the arena. The camera pans the screaming audience. Amped by Grip Inc. plays softly as we’re taken down to the announce position with Lawler, Heenan, and Ross.]

King: Hello everyone and welcome to the Hartford Civic Center.

Heenan: What a show we have for you folks tonight. Let’s get right to it.

Jeff Hardy vs. Darkside

[The match starts out quick. Both men fire rights and lefts until one man gets the upper hand. It’s a back and forth match the whole way through. The match goes to the outside and the two brawl into the crowd. A few chairs are used, a few fans get a cheap shot in, and they eventually brawl into the backstage area. Jeff throws Darkside into the wall several times then body slams him through a table for the win.]

Winner: Jeff Hardy

The CEO Arrives

[We’re taken out into the parking garage. A long black limousine pulls into the shot. Everyone watches anxiously to see who it is in the back. The driver hops out and walks around to the back. He opens the door and out steps CEO Chris Mathews. He gets a slight pop. The CEO stands beside the limo for a moment looking around. He then buttons the jacket of his suit and walks out of the shot. We’re then taken back to the announce position.]

Heenan: The CEO’s here! The CEO’s here!

Lawler: You’re right about that. I can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us.

Ross: Maybe he’s going to announce a few better commentators for me to work with.

The Ant vs. Kevin Storm

[No roleplays; no match.]

Announcement Numero Uno

[“Giving In” by Adema slowly starts to play in the arena. The fans get on their feet and look to the stage. CEO Chris Mathews steps through the elaborate entrance. The fans pop. Mathews puts the mic he’s carrying to his lips.]

Mathews: Well hello, Hartford!

[The crowd pops loudly.]

Mathews: You may or may not have heard about my plans to revamp the International Wrestling Alliance. Well I’m here to say that yes, I indeed do have plans to turn this place around. And step number one is to be announced… later! But I’ll give you all a hint… It involved the Army Rat himself, Bazooka.

[With that, the CEO leaves to his theme.]

Lawler: What could it be?

Heenan: It regards Bazooka... Hmmm...

Vinny Esposito vs. Mitch Montell

[Mitch asked for the match to be cancelled/postponed and he’s been granted that request.]

[We cut to a warehouse in some unknown city. Vinny “the Chin” Esposito is there with Owen Hart and the Trio. Gwen is tied to a chair yet again. Owen is pacing still worried about Thunder.]

Vinny: Would ya relax Owen? It’s really a pain ta be aroun’ you dese days. Thunda ain’t heeya. He’s in Hawtfud getting ready fa his match.

Owen: That’s right. Turn on the TV, let’s see if he shows for his match.

[One of the thugs turns on the TV and changes the channel to Amped. He backs away and they all begin watching. We’re taken backstage. Jeff Hardy is walking down the hall.

A Power Failure?

[Jeff continues walking down the hall but all the sudden the lights go out. They stay out for a moment and when they turn back on, Jeff is laying on the floor covered in blood.]

Heenan: What the hell!

Lawler: That doesn’t look good.

Thunder vs. D.L. Money

[A pre-match interview with Thunder says he’s trying to keep busy to keep from thinking about Gwen. He says he’s staying busy by training hard and going about business as usual. And tonight’s business is kicking D.L. Money’s ass. Thunder then goes to the ring. Thunder wails away on poor old D.L. Thunder ends it with his version of the Pedigree in pretty convincing fashion.]

Winner: Thunder

Jay Skillz vs. Terra vs. Venom

[Terra and Venom toss Skillz out early. They battle it out in the ring using everything they know against each other. Skillz tries to make a comeback but Terra and Venom just dump him to the outside again after a pretty brutal beating. Venom hits a big boot to Terra that gets a gasp from the crowd. Venom takes the time to showboat. Terra makes a recovery and hits the Stilleto to the BACK of Venom’s head. Venom goes down hard and Terra covers him for the win. The announcers are shocked by the turnout of the match. Terra would be World Champ right now if it were a title match. The announcers can’t help but talk about how this doesn’t help Venom look more like a legit World champ. They’re cut off by “Giving In” and the CEO steps back out on the stage.]

Mathews: I guess you all know what time it is. Yep, it’s time for that big announcement. Bazooka, why don’t you join me out here on the stage.

[“In the End” by Linkin Park hits in the arena. Bazooka walks out onto the stage with the Hardcore title in hand. He looks at the CEO wondering what this is all about.]

Mathews: As of right now, I’m placing a 24/7 rule on your Hardcore championship. That means that anyone at any given moment can take your Hardcore title, Bazooka. As long as there is a referee on the scene to count the 3.

[Bazooka’s mouth drops open. He eventually loses the worried look and becomes irate. Pissed off, Bazooka goes backstage.]

Mathews: That’s all for now folks, but I promise I’ll be back next week with yet another announcement.

[“Giving In” hits in the arena. The CEO returns backstage. The show closes with a shot of Bazooka jumping in his rental car and speeding away. The camera pans back to see a referee and Mitch Montell. Apparently Bazooka has already had a taker.]
