Mathews Announces a Ground Zero Tag Team Match for the OC

[Brain opens the show with a welcome to all the fans. The three talk about how Ground Zero is just a little over two weeks away and how things are bound to heat up. We then hear "Giving In" the theme of our CEO, Chris Mathews. Mathews steps out onto the stage with a mic.]

Mathews: Hello, Oakland! Now that Ground Zero is just two weeks away, I'd say it's about time to start getting a few of the matches finalized. So that's what I'm here to do. The first match I'm announcing for the pay-per-view will be a tag team match. OCnWo... Wolvesbane and Verona... I'm tired of seeing you too hanging out backstage doing nothing. It's time for you to start earning your pay checks. You two will be in action. And you'll be taking on a mystery tag team. Atleast they're a mystery for now. I've had a meeting or two with them and they've definitely convinced me that they've got some unfinished business with you two that just can't wait any longer. I'm going to step away and let our first match begin but I'll be back time and time again as the night progresses to announce even more matches for Ground Zero.

["Giving In" hits once more. The CEO returns backstage.]

The Mystert Tag Team Strikes Again

(We’re in the OCNWO locker room. Both Outsiders are sitting on stools watching Amped on a mini TV. Verona grabs a beer from a table next to him. Wolvesbane's cell phone rings.)

Wolvesbane: Hello.

Man: …………..

Wolvesbane: Hello?

Man: We’ve been waiting for you.

(The voice sounds very muffled to a point where the man’s voice can’t be recognized.)

Wolvesbane: Who the hell is this!!!!

Man: You’ll find out in due time. But for now I suggest you watch your back…”click”

Wolvesbane: What the hell?

Verona: Yo Wolf what the? Who was that?

Wolvesbane: Some punk trying to be a scary man… Verona?

Verona: Yeah?

Wolvesbane: Did you hear something?

(Then the lights go out. Verona’s voice is herd screaming out “WHAT THE HELL”? The mysterious attackers strike in the dark. A few moments later and the lights go up. Both Outsiders are seen lay out on the floor. Verona is seen with a table broken in half from a power bomb. And Wolvesbane standing next to one of the locker rooms, which happens to have a large dent. HHBK finally comes in to the scene.)

"Magnificent" Mitch Montell vs. Bazooka vs. Jarrod Steele
Triple Threat Match

[The three are introduced and begin to brawl. It's a fairly even match with nice exchanges between them. Mitch is tossed to the outside where he grabs his title and takes a walk back up the ramp. Bazooka and Jarrod let him and continue to fight it out in the ring. Bazooka sets up for the Bastard Cannon but stops when the Ant steps out onto the stage. Ant walks down and hops up onto the apron. Bazooka takes a swing but Ant ducks it. He grabs Bazooka's arms and allows Jarrod a few cheap shots. Ant returns backstage while Jarrod locks on the Skull and Crossbones a.k.a. the Sharpshooter and scores the win.

Winner: Jarrod Steele

Mathews Signs Another

["Giving In" is heard once more. The fans cheer as Mathews steps out onto the stage.]

Mathews: I guess now is the most appropriate time to announce my next match. Since Bazooka and the Ant have a little bit of a problem with one another stemming from a few weeks ago, I'll allow them to settle it at Ground Zero. Bazooka, you're going to put your Nation-Wide title on the line in this one. Have fun!

[Mathews returns backstage.]

"HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. Thunder

[Both competitors fight back and fourth for several minutes. Thunder hits a barage of suplexes and a few of his signature moves. Shawn battles back from a few near falls with an elbow drop and a back suplex. The match breaks the twenty minute mark, being one of the closest we've seen in a while. As the match dwindles down, a run-in by the Slipknot Guy occurs. He swings a chair meant for Thunder but strikes Shawn instead. Shawn goes down and Thunder makes the cover for the win.

Winner: Thunder

One More

["Giving In" hits for the third time tonight. The CEO steps out onto the stage with a microphone.]

Mathews: I've been watching for a few weeks and I've decided that Mitch Montell and Jeff Hardy definitely have something to prove to one another. That's why they'll do battle at Ground Zero for the Television title.

["Giving In" hits once more.]

Owen Hart vs. Vinny "the Chin" Esposito

[The two battle to a no contest. The CEO is shown backstage with an annoyed look on his face.]

Winner: No Contest

Double H vs. Venom
Sledgehammer Match

[The match is very one-sided with Double H easily retrieving the sledge and using it to score the win over Venom. "Giving In" hits again in the arena and the CEO steps out onto the stage.]

Winner: Double H

Mathews: Now that was hardly a match at all. I should've known throwing Venom in the ring with Double H this early after a return would end up in a squash. So I'm not satisfied with this match. Not satisfied in the least. Nor am I satisfied with the Owen/Vinny match. That's why I'm booking a triple threat for next week's show. Vinny "the Chin" Esposito vs. Owen Hart vs. Double H. The winner will receive the shot at Thunder. And they'll get it at Ground Zero in a World title match! Thank you and good night.
